Nekita Carroll-Hall

Nekita is a high energy, enthusiastic, and compassionate administrator that recently joined the administration team at Luis Munoz Marin Elementary School in Bridgeport, CT. She supervises third grade through sixth grade. As a licensed masters leveled social worker with over 20 years of experience Ms. Carroll—Hall brings both clinical and systems experience to her work. Her experience includes direct counseling services, community advocacy, and the development of prevention programs throughout her career. Prior to her current role, she was a full-time school social worker and worked for four years as the District Wellness Coordinator that was responsible for embedding evidence-based practice and mental health training throughout the district.


Ms. Carroll-Hall previously managed a 2.1-million-dollar mental health grant that was recognized at the state and national level for the development database to support improved mental health data collection. In this role Ms. Carroll-Hall developed relationships across the district and within the community that led to improved mental health programs and services for Bridgeport Public Schools.


Nekita earned a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In addition, Ms. Carroll-Hall earned two licensures from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP): Introduction to Restorative Practices, Utilizing Circles Effectively, and Facilitating Restorative Conferences. Nekita is currently a doctoral student at Liberty University pursuing her doctorate in education with a concentration in trauma.
