Erinn Fallon

6th Grade Social Studies Teacher

Luis Muñoz Marín School, Bridgeport, CT

Erinn has been an educator for nine years; eight of which have been at Muñoz Marín School. She has taught 4th Grade before moving up to 6th Grade in 2015-2016, and Middle School has been her preference ever since. Muñoz Marín was one of the first schools in Bridgeport to adopt the RULER Program from Yale’s Center for Emotional Intelligence, and Erinn started her SEL journey there during the 2013-2014 school year.

Since, she has developed as a RULER implementer, Restorative Practitioner, and a Culturally Responsive and anti-racist teacher. Erinn has led school-wide professional developments and programming, as well as Culturally Responsive workshops. She has attended two national SEL conferences and visited a network of exemplary SEL schools to bring their knowledge and implementation strategies back to Muñoz Marín.In the classroom, Ms. Fallon’s favorite part of teaching is developing community with and between students.

Whether it’s Community Building Restorative Circles or analyzing historical figures with the Mood Meter and Meta-Moment tools, SEL is woven into daily practices and curriculum. Outside of the classroom, Erinn enjoys coaching basketball, reading and learning, sports of all types, and spending time with her partner and pets.
